| ORGANISATION PROFILE |
|
The management of VUDA is vested with a nominated Board headed by a Chairman, constituted by the State Government from time to time under the Andhra Pradesh Urban Areas Development Act, 1975. |
|
(I) The VUDA Board comprises the following members |
- Chairman
- Vice Chairman (Chief Executive)
- 3 members from among the members of the State Legislature, representing the development area to be nominated by the Govt.
- Secretary to Govt., Finance & Planning
- Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation
- Director of Town & Country Planning or his nominee
- 2 Corporators of the Municipal Corporation, Visakhapatnam within the development area to be nominated by the Govt.
- 5 non-official members to be nominated by the Govt.

| (ii) Organization: |
The Authority has the following wings viz.
- Administration
- Engineering
- Planning
- Accounts
- Urban Forestry
- Estate Management
|
|
The Chief Executive of the organisation is the Vice Chairman who is a senior officer from Indian Administrative Services (IAS) assisted by various officers in specialised fields under Urban Planning and Development like Urban Planning, Traffic & Transportation, Architecture, Project Formulation and other related fields like Land Acquisition, Urban Forestry, Estate Management, Accounts & Finance and Administration. |

26-01-2008. |

VICE CHAIRMAN:
Sri V.N. Vishnu, IAS is the present Vice Chairman. On transfer from the post of Joint
Secretary to Government, Energy Department. He assumed charge as Vice Chairman, VUDA on
26-03-2008. |
